SSO Christmas Sing-Along

Back by popular demand, this annual audience participation, holiday fundraiser occurred on Friday, December 14, 2018. A near-capacity crowd enjoyed readings by Lally Cadeus and solo performances by Reid Spence. Stratford Symphony Orchestra musicians performed carols selected by audience members and were accompanied by Tim Elliott and David Murray on piano. The Falstaff Centre space contributed to warm, community conviviality. Thank you to the SSO Volunteer Team.

A special thanks to Fanfare Books and Scholastic Canada for their contribution to the evening's event with permission to sing the words to published books: "A Porcupine in a Pine Tree" and "Dashing Through The Snow, A Canadian Jingle Bells", written by Helaine Becker; illustrated by Werner Zimmermann. Books are on sale at Fanfare.

Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, funds were raised in support of the Orchestra. These proceeds will be used to offset the cost of future concerts, community and other events organized by the Symphony.

Planning for SSO's 2019 events is already underway. Watch for exciting concerts and events hosted by Stratford Symphony Orchestra on the "Concert" and "Events" pages of this SSO website.
