Barbara had been working with the Canadian company of Come From Away for 2 years at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto until everything came to a sudden halt on March 14th. She had appeared with the Stratford Festival for 22 seasons.


Past roles for Stratford include: Mrs. Anderson, A Little Night Music; Mrs. Beaver, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe; Frau Schmidt, The Sound of Music; Jack’s Mother, Into The Woods; Fruma-Sarah and Grandma Tzeitel, Fiddler of Roof; Mrs. Keller, The Miracle Worker; Widow, The Taming of the Shrew; Nicole, Bonjour la, Bonjour, Elektra, Pentecost, Oedipus Rex, and Three Penny Opera, to name a few.


Barbara has done numerous cabarets and concerts for Stratford Summer Music and absolute highlights have been singing as a guest with The Duke Ellington Orchestra and The Glenn Miller Orchestra. She received an ensemble Dora Award for her performance in ‘Life After’ in 2017. She and Paul Shilton have recorded two jazz CDs, ‘Somebody New’ and ‘Too Close For Comfort’.
