In the 2009-10 season, the Stratford Symphony Orchestra took a leap forward to a longer season, and attracted 40 per
cent more music lovers to our concerts. While this is exciting news, our rapid growth presents its own challenges as we
work now in 2010-11 to secure ongoing funding from government, businesses, and individuals to support our work.
Ticket revenue only covers one-quarter of the expense it takes to mount full orchestra performances.
People often ask, how can you sustain a symphony orchestra in a city as small as Stratford. Our answer? “because it’s
Stratford.”
It will take all of us who love the arts in Stratford-Perth to support such an ambitious enterprise. We invite you to
play your part.

In 2010, we held a special Baroque Dinner prior to our Christmas at the Festival concert at the Paul D. Fleck Marquee. Check this website for further fundraisers in 2011.
