Welcome

Welcome to Season Seven of the Stratford Symphony Orchestra

Next up: All Things Celtic. Saturday, January 21. This not-to-be-missed celebration of Celtic music and dance features Rant Maggie Rant, an ensemble that combines original compositions with traditional tunes, mischievously “colouring outside the prescribed lines,” says band leader Mark Fletcher. The Symphony, led by guest conductor Nigel Evans, will perform O Danny Boy (of course!), Keltic Suite by John Foulds and several original compositions by composer-in-residence Chris Meyer, including Farewell to Ireland, featuring flute soloist Laurel Swinden.

The concert will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church, at Ontario and Waterloo streets in Stratford, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at Fanfare Books and Anything Grows (Stratford), Stewart Books (St. Marys), Music (Sebringville) and Perth County Welcome Centre (Shakespeare), as well as online (see below).
